But first, let me share a bit of my background.
I started in real estate in 2019.
I started my team in 2020. I made every mistake you could imagine.
Hired with no standards.
Chose a financial model to look cool vs. make money.
Chased every "new" thing I could find.
Worked like hell to try to keep it all together.
The last straw was taking $50k out of my personal bank account just to make payroll the next day. I made the transfer and knew I had no idea how we were going to make payroll again 2 weeks later.
Something had to change. (It was me)
Then, in 2023, I bought out my business partner and decided to get advice from outside the industry.
Best decision I ever made. I knew real estate, but I didn't know business as well as I thought I did.
So... over the last 24 months, here is what I did...
- Fixed my financial model so that I could run a profitable team
- Created and implemented standards for our agents (created a productive culture)
- Ran by business on systems, instead of gut feelings and reactions (EOS)
- Recruited to the culture I wanted (not the one I had)
- Increased Revenue by 3X (run-rate) and 4X'd our profit margins
In summary, I grew from a team of 12 to a team of 63 (and growing) that has sold 740+ units for $700m in volume since 2020.
BTW - I’ve been out of production since 2021.
Now I actually enjoy running my business again. (Notice I said business, not team).
When I first put together the Team Building Masterclass, I was just documenting what we did to turn our team around. But the more I got into it, the more I enjoyed talking about it (anyone who knows me knows I love talking about business).
When I asked if people would be interested in learning our playbook, the answer was yes.
To be transparent, I've been hesitant to do this because it felt like a distraction.
But the more I dive into it, the more I see it as an opportunity. To learn more about how to scale a team faster and more profitably.
