You're not advertising enough.
It's a headline I've used before and one that I will definitely use again.
But... let me explain why...
Fast Value: Nobody knows who you are. Nobody knows what you do. The more you advertise your services, the more business you'll get. You might be sick of your message, but nobody else is even listening.
Last week, one of our agents asked a question that stopped me in my tracks.
"Christian, are we still hiring agents?"
It hit me lock a truck. I couldn't believe it... I feel like we are constantly advertising that we're hiring. So, how could an agent that is on our team not know?
A golden reminder that people are busy. People are worried about themselves... not you and your business. You need to advertise more.
I feel like we advertise a lot... here is a quick rundown of what we do (only for agent-facing content)
- Post 21x per week on my IG @christianstubbs (we are currently restrategizing, so you won't see me posting that much for the next week or 2)
- Post 2 YouTube videos per week on our Start to Finish Channel
- Email 17,000+ agents every week on my newsletter (this email)
- Email 1,000 Team Leaders every week through my newsletter for them
Even though I know it's a lot, I know it's not enough.
So, why are we talking about this today? Because you need to advertise more, too. You're looking to find more buyers and sellers. It's time to treat your business like a real business.
I have another story that I think will help tie this together.
In our monthly mastermind at OnyxHomes.com, we were talking about generating more deals from our existing business. One of our agents said that she is so busy getting her listing ready that she couldn't make content.
Here was the gut punch... I said to her, "I don't even know what listing you're talking about, and I signed the contract. Nobody even knows you have this listing."
I watched it instantly sink in for the entire room.
Again... advertise more.
SHOW the work that you're actually doing. We recently made this change with my personal IG, and we've seen a HUGE uptick in engagement. Literally just showing the behind-the-scenes of what I do to run our team.
That is what people actually give a shit about.
Don't overthink it.
Show people what it looks like to work with you before you ever talk to them.
Pro-Tip: It also helps you convert and nurture the leads you already have for faster $$$. This works like magic with social content.
Whatever you do to advertise for new leads, do more of it. Whatever works best. Do more. Narrow your focus to what works best and do more of it.
