Why do so many agents fight the fact that you need to generate more leads?
In our business, there is this negativity with "leads"...
... as if somehow they're a bad thing.
Some agents need to be reminded that we're in sales.
Fast Value: You want to build a consistent source of new leads. The sooner you do, the sooner your business will become more predictable.
Assuming you want to make more money, you can...
- Generate more leads
- Convert leads at a higher level
- Raise your average commission (Price and/or Percentage)
So why do agents fight this concept?
Because lead generation is hard.
It's either hard work...
... or it's expensive.
But every single successful agent has a way to consistently generate leads. When it comes to lead generation, there are two ways to do it...
Sweat Equity = Working to generate leads
Check Equity = Paying $$$ to generate leads.
You don't need to do everything. You just need to choose the one source to generate more leads and get really good at it.
For example, I invited my buddy Lee Arnold to speak at our Team Meeting about his 68% market share in his farm. (yes, 68%)
He has captured this through...
- Tons of mailers (just bought 10k stamps and a printer)
- Badass community events (think In-N-Out truck)
- Open houses + TONS of branding (he's the crossing guard with a branded vest)
None of this happens overnight.
But it does happen if you stick with it.
I've generated over 30k leads for my team in the last 5 years. Now I'm generating about 1,500 per month. Here's how I do it...
- Partnerships (Zillow, Realtor, etc.)
- Paid Ads (About 20k per month on Google alone)
- Organic Content (3 YouTube videos per week and 21 short-form videos per week)
- Inside Sales Team (to get Live Transfers over to our agents)
At the end of the day, I know that if I want to grow my business, I need to keep generating opportunities.
We do this because we want to keep our agents focused on what they do best. Selling.
Do what you need to do to build your lead generation system.
I promise your future self will be happy you did.
