Do you know where you want to be 5 years from now?
I talk about the importance that Vision (specifically a 5-10 year vision) has had on my and my business all the time. The most common responses I hear from agents and leaders is that they can’t think that far.
This week, I hit the 5-year mark in the real estate business.
Not 5 years of running our company, 5 years in the business total.
I remember getting into the real estate industry to focus on the business side. I didn’t know what that meant at the time, but I knew I didn’t want to be an ‘agent’ forever. I wanted to build a company.
Fast forward 5 years later, and I’ve done just that.
Focus has been my #1 skill that has helped me get where I am today. Focus is the #1 thing that we constantly remind ourselves of at our company. Focus on what works. Focus on what we do well. Focus on the vision.
This morning I was asked where I think the company will be in another 5 years from now…
… my answer was more of the same.
We are focusing on what we do well, and we will continue to grow. What does that look like? I’m not sure, but I know it’ll be better. Better for our agents and better for our customers.
I wanted to share this with you as a reminder that it’s always important to have your mind on your vision. Yes. It’s hard to focus on something that is so far away. But if you don’t take the time to think about it now, you’ll look back, and 5 years will have past.
I can’t wait to see what the next 5 years are going to look like.
