Real estate agents are salespeople. But salespeople need leads to sell.
Therefore….
Agents also have to be marketers too.
Yesterday, I was talking to an agent who does about $1.5m in GCI in their farm every year. We were talking about open house signs.
The difference between directional signs for the open house and signs for branding.
They do 10x the signs for branding than they do for directional.
“I see your signs everywhere.” Duh, that’s the idea.
Why don’t more agents think this way? Not just with signs and farming. With everything.
Content for social media. Content for Youtube. Content for your website.
Cold calling. Door knocking. Networking.
Buying leads. Paid ads…
I think there is one simple reason agents don’t generate more leads.
They don’t think they need to.
I believe more agents underestimate the amount of leads they need to generate by about 90%. Meaning if they generate one and are happy, they probably should have generated 10. This is especially the case for agents that want business right now and for the future.
Pro-Tip: You will generate more leads by offering things that are more valuable.
Two examples from an open house. Which one do you think will generate more leads?
1. Please sign in because you have to
2. Please sign in… once you do, I’ll send over a full market analysis along with a list of all the homes like this, including a few that aren’t on the market yet.
