The most important topics for agents this year…

I started this newsletter this year with the goal of sharing valuable information on what is and is not working for our team in the current market. I went through the newsletters from all of 2023 and picked out the ones that YOU liked the most. Whether you’re new here or just want a refresher, here are the top 5 newsletters from 2023 :

1. Work Works…

“Nobody moves in the winter” – 99% of real estate agents. Does this sound like someone you know? Does this sound like you? Meanwhile… our agents have been busy. Over the last 30 days, our agents have been on 524 appointments and have had 828 conversations, which has led to putting 18 deals under contract and 11 closed deals. But nobody is moving? No. Nobody you’re talking to is moving. That is because you’re not talking to enough people.

2. How you can stand out

Real Estate Agents are bad at advertising… Which is ironic because one of our biggest jobs is to market and sell homes. “Call me with all your real estate needs.” I’ll explain what I mean, but I want to share something I’ve learned over the last few years. There is a huge difference between marketing and advertising.

3. Boring but better

Last week I changed my screen saver. If you had asked me what my screen saver was before, I wouldn’t be able to tell you. If you’ve been living under a rock for the last 18 months, you may have missed the content that Alex Hormozi has been putting out.

I’m sending this out as a PSA to all my business owner & real estate agent friends… If you haven’t spent the time to consume his content, you should.

4. Doing the basics but better

“Do the basics. At a high level. Consistently.” – Phil Jones. A story that I’ve heard several times from Phil about how we built his career. He was turning around failing stores. When asked how he turned around these stories over and over, his response was always the same.

1. Do the basics.
2. Do them at a high level.
3. Do them consistently.

This is something we’ve been reminded of over the last year and a half in the real estate business.

5. I paid thousands to be reminded

We don’t need to learn anything new. We need to be reminded. Last month, I paid a lot of money to go to a mastermind in Tahoe. It was one of the most impactful rooms that I’ve been in, yet there was very little I learned that was new. So impactful that I am taking my leadership team to the next one in December. Here is why… There were many high-producing teams, brokers, and individual agents in the room, sharing what has made them successful.

My goal with this newsletter is to share valuable information for agents just like you. Reply to this email and tell us which topics you found the most helpful or if there’s something specific you want to learn about that I haven’t covered yet. I’d love to know your thoughts and ideas.
