Use fear to push you forward.
“If you feel fearful, take a step forward.”
– Sam Zell
The real estate market has been hard for the last two years. There are a lot of agents struggling out there.
But some are having their best years ever. Our team is up 30% over last year, which was up 30% over the year before that.
What’s the difference?
From what I see, it’s the people who put their heads down and trust the process that are growing.
Always push for growth.
When you know the process works, you just do it.
In a good market, it works great. In a bad market, it works even better.
Why? Because so many give up when it starts to get hard.
That gives a massive opportunity to the few that keep pushing. When you get that feeling of fear, take two steps forward and keep going.
The biggest growth seasons I’ve had in my business were covered in fear. Plowing forward, trusting the process.
You got this.
Here is a tip on how I think about pushing through fear with a real-life example…
We will be starting a long-form podcast for the Start to Finish in Real Estate Channel. The fear came from adding more content to my calendar and more work for my marketing team. Is it worth it, or should we stay comfortable with our current content calendar?
I simply ask myself, “Would I be happy that I started it 5 years from now?”
If my answer is yes, then I follow up with another question… “Am I willing to commit to the work for the next year before re-evaluating?”
If yes, then let’s do it.
If not, then it’s probably not worth the risk or trade-off.
It’s a simple example, but it helps me think through big strategy moves.
